I think that it is very important to preface that this mod is not made with the intent of saying Amor (Or anyone else problematic who worked on the team) is innocent, nor in support of them.This mod is made by the remaining members of the Bob and Bosip community. Nowadays, the community has gotten so small to the point where everyone knows each other and in-fighting has become rampant. This mod was made with the intention to revive the community, even if in the end it is futile. As of October 27th, 2022, this mod as been in development for around 6 months. We originally weren't very public, except on the director's now suspended account.Our, or rather, my stance is that it's ok to like Bob and Bosip as long as you do not support Amor. When enjoying media, tell me how many times you enjoy that media while directly supporting the creator? There are over 50 fandoms and/or medias that have less than favorable people behind them that still have a relatively big fanbase. In the end, one day virtually everything will become problematic and to claim liking things because the creator is horrible is very close minded. That is why it is important to embrace what you have right now, so it's not forgotten.That is not to say that Bob and Bosip is free from criticism or mistakes. If you are going to engage with Bob and Bosip content in a post Christmas 2021 world, you have to acknowledge how Amors actions played into his characters. Most of the shipping between Bob and Bosip at the time was to queerbait, a malicious attempt to farm clout off of 14-year-old fujoshis and queer people. Even if Amor was a part of the LGBT community, he horribly fetishized gay men and used very harmful stereotypes. You can't say you like bob and bosip while not supporting Amor, while not being open to hearing this. It is possible to seperate art from the artist, but you have to acknoweldge the flaws with the media, or else you're just making excuses for yourself.Ultimately, this mod is made with the intention of cleaning up the mess Amor made, because we just want this fandom to be happy. It is very important to differentiate support from recognition, Amor himself has been discredited from his work for close to a year now, and rightfully so. This mod is a passion project, and we're putting as much as we can into it with our limited resources.Thank you.
